Source and adaptation information varies across the existing Indian Folk Tales archive and is being reviewed page by page. Some pages identify a traditional tale or collection without identifying the exact English edition or translation behind the current wording. Illustration provenance and reuse evidence are not yet documented consistently on public story pages.
